And hopefully this post will help you do just that!

👩🏻 First and foremost, I believe that everyone should track their calorie intake and exercise for at least a while (even if it's only for 3 weeks, or as long as 3 years).

Here's why:

🧠 What you will learn about nutrition from calorie and protein tracking is invaluable! You will learn the nutritional value of different foods, you will learn how to make an intuitive choice of good foods and you will be able to control how your body looks and feels even after the tracking process has stopped.

But before we get there, we have to determine personal calories and macronutrients. Let's do it now!

👉🏼 Step 1: Determine maintenance
⠀⠀
This is the number of calories you need to maintain body weight. You can determine that by multiplying body weight (pounds) by 14-15.
⠀⠀
👉🏼 Step 2: Adjust the lean / leftover calories
⠀⠀
If your goal is fat loss is a good place to start by subtracting 500 from level 1.

👉🏼 Steps 3-5: Add protein, fat, carbohydrates
