I get a lot of questions about this and to be honest it depends a lot on your goals.
.
However, you should always eat lots of vegetables, fresh fruits and protein. There is nothing to carbohydrates and fat and you can also have some dairy if you want.
.
I'm not a fan of eliminating certain foods, so don't forget to take the food you like (in moderation) to make it sustainable.
.
For someone who wants to lose weight, you want plenty of vegetables and food in large quantities to keep you full when you have a calorie deficit.
.
If your goal is to gain weight / build muscle, you should eat more fat and high-calorie foods to increase your calorie intake.
